Obituary
Samuel Grocott, Jr. of Milltown, NJ passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on May 29, 2020. He was 97 years old. Born in Trenton, NJ, he was a longtime Milltown resident. Samuel proudly and honorably served his country overseas for 3 years during World War II as a Motor Machinist’s Mate, 2nd Class in the United States Navy. He was a member of American Legion Post 458, Trenton. He retired from the Milltown School District after a long career. Samuel was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed taking long rides with his beloved wife Marion.
Samuel is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Marion, four children: Diane Grocott; Samuel Grocott, III and his girlfriend Joann; Sharon Grocott and her husband Joe Lubniewski; Daniel Grocott and his wife Trinette; and grandchildren Sierra Grocott and Danielle Grocott. Private services will be held Tuesday at the Bronson and Guthlein Funeral Home of Milltown followed by interment at Colonial Memorial Park, Trenton, NJ.
