With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved, Roberto Maldonado, who left us on March 29, 2023, at the age of 42. He was a loving fiance to Arpita Shah, a devoted son to Carmen Soto and Roberto Maldonado, a cherished brother to Erica Cintron Maldonado, Jessie Garcia, Anairis Cruz, Jesus Padilla, Antonio Cruz and Ricardo Cruz, and adored father to Kiana Maldonado.
His contagious smile, warm hugs and kind heart made him instantly loved by all. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need; showing his generosity both in words and deeds.
Robert grew up in New York. The most important thing to Robert was family. He moved to New Jersey about 12 years ago to be with his fiance, whom he adored with his entire being. Nothing brought him greater joy than being with her.
Robert had many passions throughout his life; he loved watching and playing sports (especially the Yankees and the Buffalo Bills), listening to music and spending time in nature. He was the epitome of a true friend, always there with a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, or a joke to make someone’s day brighter. His infectious laughter and vibrant energy were contagious and his presence left a lasting imprint on all those who knew him.
Words cannot express the profound sadness we feel as we say goodbye to such an amazing human being. We will miss Robert tremendously and his loss leaves a void that can never be filled. Robert will forever hold a special place in our hearts and we will always cherish his memory.
In honor of Robert, we ask that you embrace each day with the same energy for life that he had. Share his kindness, love and joy with the world. He would want nothing more than for everyone to be happy and to cherish the moments we have together. Rest in peace, Robert. We love you always and forever.
