Melanie Shearer Obituary

Melanie Shearer (nee Cavanaugh) of Spotswood, NJ passed away on September 19, 2023 at Raritan Bay Medical Center – Old Bridge, NJ. She was 69 years old. Born in New Brunswick, Melanie was born, raised, and resided in Milltown, NJ for most of her life before relocating to Spotswood. She was a longtime employee of Rutgers University where she was an Administrator. Melanie was a devoted NY Giants fan.

Melanie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Morgan and Edward Walsh and daughter Katie Shearer; grandsons Caelum, Aiden, and Talen Walsh; and nieces and nephews Hanna, Myles, and Brett.

Friends and family will be received for a memorial visitation on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Bronson and Guthlein Funeral Home of Milltown, NJ.
