John M. Grabenstein, Sr. of Milltown, NJ passed away December 5, 2022 at Raritan Bay Medical Center Old Bridge. He was 95 years old. Born and raised in Milltown, he was also a lifelong resident. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Navy during WWII. John was a longtime Mason, an avid hunter, and fisherman. He particularly loved fishing at his vacation homes on Marco Island, FL and the Poconos.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years Carol (nee Wallace), son and daughter-in-law David and Jennifer Bailey, daughter and son-in-law Deb and Steven Kelly, grandchildren: John and Darren Bailey and Lauren and Ryan Kelly, niece Linda Becon, and a large and loving extended family.
Family and friends will be received Friday 11:00am – 1:00pm at the Bronson and Guthlein Funeral Home. The funeral service will be celebrated at the funeral home at 1:00pm followed by an entombment at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Milltown Rescue Squad, Disable American Vets, or the Wounded Warrior Project.
