With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Debra L. DeFazio, our loving and devoted mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, daughter and friend to all whose lives she touched, on December 2, 2020, at 62 years old. Cancer took her from us much too early.
Debbie was a dedicated mother, first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Grandma to her 11 Grandchildren, and, of course, she loved Fur babies Nico and Kyle.
She's the loving & devoted mother of Anthony F. DeFazio wife, Laura DeFazio, Stephanie M. Lance husband, Christopher Lance, & Melissa N. Smith Landau husband, Dylan Smith. Her pride & joy Grandchildren Kayla Lance, Katelyn DeFazio, Ayden Landau, Zachary Lance, Dylan Smith, Lucas Landau, Nicole DeFazio, Michael Lance, Emily DeFazio, Breanna DeFazio, and Jason Lance. Her husband, Anthony F. DeFazio preceded her in death in 2010.
She also leaves behind so many other loved ones, her Sister Sharon Omeletski husband, James Omeletski, Brother Harold McCabe wife, Diane McCabe and many beloved nieces Samantha Aldinger, Jessica Perez, Brittany McCabe, and Danielle McCabe. She was pre-deceased by her Father, Harold McCabe, and Mother, Joan McCabe.
She was born in Bayonne, NJ, and lived in so many places. Fords, NJ, Edison, NJ where she started her family then moved to Parkland, FL, Monroe, NJ, Morganville, NJ, lastly with her beloved Mother Joan McCabe in Toms River, NJ.
Debbie worked as medical assistance then earned her degree as a Dental hygienist. She was always passionate about helping others; you can tell as all three of her children followed in her footsteps and went into the medical field. Upon retirement, she spent her days watching her Grandchild grow while helping raise them. Her favorite vacation spot was Walt Disney World, which we all traveled to often with her. When she was home with her mother, they spent their days watching crime shows and loving all their fur babies.
Please join us to celebrate Debra DeFazio’s life on Saturday, December 5, 2020 from 12 pm to 4 pm at Bronson & Guthlein Funeral Home, Inc. 152 North Main St. Milltown, NJ 08850
